Dover Plains, New York – On May 29, 2017, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at SP Dover Plains arrested 25-year-old Jake Wheeler, of the Town of Amenia, New York, for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, a Class D Felony.

The arrest stems from a report that Wheeler supplied a 16-year-old female with alcoholic beverages and then had sexual contact with her while she was sleeping at his apartment located in the Town of Amenia.

Wheeler was arraigned in the Town of Amenia Court by the Honorable Judge Moore and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. Wheeler is scheduled to return to the Town of Amenia Court on June 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM.  An Order of Protection was issued ordering him to refrain from all contact with the victim.
