Obituary, Jerry Wayne Maloney

MILLBROOK – Jerry Wayne Maloney, age 68, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, May 25, 2017 in his home in Millbrook, NY.

Jerry was a very special person, kind and compassionate. He made his family and friends laugh with his southern colloquialisms, unusual sense of humor, and all the stories of his colorful past. He will be remembered as a person who thought of others before himself.

Jerry was born in Camden, AR. He lived in Texas a good part of his life, but has lived in New York for over 20 years. He finally admitted we “Yankees” weren’t so bad after all! He loved animals and children.

Jerry is survived by three daughters, Renee Fontenot, her husband, Brent, Jeannie Zenos, her husband, Kemon, Katy McClintock, her husband, Danny, and one son, Shannon Maloney, all from Texas. He has an “adopted” daughter and family, Krysta Curran, who will also miss him. Jerry is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three nephews and a sister, Brenda DeBonis and her husband, Al.

Services for Jerry will be @ 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Valley Bible Fellowship Church, 1875 Clove Road, Lagrangeville, NY. The service will be officiated by Rev. Dennis Spinney. Burial will immediately follow across the street at the Clove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Council on Addiction Prevention & Education of Dutchess County, Inc. (CAPE), 807 Route 52, Room 28, Fishkill, NY 12524 (845-765-8301).
