SHORE HAVEN WATER SYSYTEM Temporary Water Shutoff Notice

On Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at approximately 9:00 am (local time), water service will be temporarily shut off on the Shore Haven water main that presently serves 1443 Rte. 292 and most water customers east of Route 292 (lake side). The shutoff is necessary to allow our contractor to connect the existing 4-inch Beachway Dr. main to a new water main on Rte. 292. The shutoff may last until 4:00 pm. However, if the work proceeds faster, water service will be restored sooner. Customers affected by this shutoff should refrain from using water and power off any personal booster pumps on this day. Most water customers served by the Mt. View Road water main on the west side of Rte. 292 should not be affected. As may happen anytime a water main is turned off, some discoloration in the water may occur when the main is turned back on. This condition should clear over time as the water system returns to normal operation. If your water service has not returned by 4:00 pm, please notify VRI (system operator) at 845-677-3839. Please direct any questions to Ed Mills at 845-486-3601.
