State Police arrest two people for cocaine possession following traffic stop in Dover

Dover, New York – On April 26, 2017, the New York State Police from Dover Plains arrested 30-year-old Bobbi J. Peltier of Wingdale, New York, and Brigham T. Young, age 28, of New Milford, Connecticut, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th Degree, a Class D Felony.
Troopers observed a Nissan Maxima traveling on Route 55 without tail lamps. The vehicle pulled in a parking area off of Route 55 and Troopers initiated a traffic stop. The front seat passenger, Peltier, and the driver, Young, were found to possess cocaine.
Peltier and Young were arraigned in the Town of Dover Court before Judge Abrams. Both defendants were remanded to the Dutchess County jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $25,000 bond. They are due to reappear in the Town of Dover Court on May 8, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
