Poughkeepsie, New York – On April 24, 2017, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Victoria R. Serino, 26 years old, of Poughkeepsie, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony, Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, a Class E Felony, and Falsifying Business Records in the 1st Degree, a Class E Felony.

In January of 2017, Troopers were contacted by a Rome, NY, man who reported that an acquaintance had traded in his 2001 Mercedes Benz at a Poughkeepsie car dealership without his permission.   A Subsequent investigation revealed that Serino possessed a forged title for the Mercedes and submitted an application to the DMV for a new title, in her name.  Upon receiving the title, she traded the Mercedes in for a 2016 Mazda.

Serino was arraigned before Honorable Judge Sullivan in the Village of Wappingers Falls Court and released on her own recognizance.  The defendant is scheduled to return to the Village of Wappinger Falls Court on May 9, 2017.
