Stanfordville man charged with assault

Clinton, New York – On April 24, 2017, New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested 24-year-old Shane M. Baker of Stanfordville, New York, for Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class D Felony.
On April 24, 2017 at approximately 7:06 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to Vassar Brothers Hospital for an assault that occurred in the Town of Clinton. An investigation revealed that Baker struck the victim in the face, causing serious physical injury, during a dispute.
Baker was arraigned in the Town of Clinton Court before the Honorable Justice Tompkins and released on his own recognizance. Baker is due to return to Clinton Court on May 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m.
