Hamlet of Wallkill man arrested in multiple stabbing

The State Police in Highland announce the arrest of Eric Martine, age 19 of the hamlet of Wallkill, for Assault in the First Degree (Class B Felony), Assault in the Second Degree (Class D Felony), and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third degree (Class D Felony).

On April 4, 2017 Eric Martine did stab three invidivuals during a physical altercation on Oregon Trail in the Town of Shawangunk.  This case was intially investigated by the Town of Wallkill Police Department but was turned over to the State Police when it was determined that the incident occurred outside of their jurisdiction.  Eric Martine was arraigned in the Town of Shawangunk Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail pending a future court appearance.
