Amenia’s Townwide Cleanup Day – Saturday, April 22nd – 10AM to 12 noon
Trash Bag distribution this year will be at both Fountain Square and the intersection of Routes 22, 44 and 343 at traffic light in Amenia as well as at Borden Park, Wassaic opposite the Wassaic Project in Wassaic’s center.
Water and light snack will be available at both sites including FREE garden-friendly literature on perennial and annual flower and vegetable plants as well as planting guides and companion plants
for gardening pests. Protective gloves suggested.
Resident volunteer help needed. Event sponsored by Amenia’s Enhancement Committee together with the cooperation of town businesses as well as civic and community groups. PLEASE join in to keep ALL of Amenia looking Springtime Clean!!!
(1) Roadside pickup volunteers DO NOT need to phone Vicki Doyle – Cell Phone # 845-489-7826 unless they need help in getting their bagged litter to the Wingdale transfer station.
(2) The Cleanup IS NOT FOR HOUSEHOLD TRASH but for roadside cleanup.
(3) Residents or Groups, if desired, can bring to the NYS DEC Transfer Station, 1933 Route 22, Wingdale bags for FREE, on Saturday, 4/22 from 7A to 1P. Welsh’s Station on Route 44, Amenia is NOT participating as in previous years.
