Yorktown man arrested for drug possession following a welfare check

PRESS RELEASE

Yorktown, New York – On March 8, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Somers barracks arrested Christian E. Eynon, Sr., 40 years old, of Yorktown, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree, a Class D Felony, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, also a Class A Misdemeanor.

Troopers conducted a welfare check of an individual sleeping in his vehicle at the Shell Gas Station located on Crompond Road. Following an investigation, it was discovered that the driver of the vehicle, Eynon, was in possession of cocaine and a black jack weapon.

Eynon was arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Yorktown Court on March 10, 2015.
