On 3/28/2017, New York State Police BCI at Dover Plains arrested Webutuck High School teacher, Craig Trachtenberg, of Hyde Park, NY for two counts of Forcible Touching and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
The arrest stems from two complaints filed by students of Webutuck Central School with the State Police in Dover Plains.
Trachtenberg was arraigned before the Town of Northeast court and was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash / $5,000 bond.
The New York State Police are continuing their investigation in conjunction with the New York State Department of Education and additional charges are possible.
