Anthony M. Militello, 32, of Denver, was wanted on “multiple counts of exposing his genitals, masturbation in public (indecent exposure) and contempt of court,” Red Hook Police Officer Travis Sterritt said in an email.

On Tuesday, after police received a tip indicating Militello had fled from authorities in Denver and was believed to be in the Red Hook area, he was arrested during a traffic stop on Annandale Road and charged as a fugitive from justice, police said.

The U.S. Marshals office in Denver issued an extradition warrant for Militello in January.

Militello has family in Red Hook and may have graduated from Red Hook High School, Sterritt said.

Police said he was arraigned in Red Hook Town Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail to await extradition.
