A three week long investigation resulted in the arrests of three Sullivan County men on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property and drug possession.  After a string of burglaries were reported in several towns in the county, members of the State Police, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Town of Fallsburg PD, and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office began working together to stop the crimes.

On March 20, 2017 police arrested Albert Quick, age 29, of Woodbourne, Greig Quick, age 31, of Woodbourne, and Joseph Brown, age 33, of Montgomery.  In addition to the arrests, four search warrants were executed that resulted in the recovery of several hundred pieces of stolen jewelry, a stolen defaced semi-automatic pistol, and 150 bags of heroin.

Albert Quick was charged with several counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.  Greig Quick was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.  Joseph Brown was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence.  Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.  All were arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail.

State Police credit the quick closure of these investigations to the cooperation of the agencies involved and the diligent efforts of the investigators.
