Wingdale  woman charged with unlawfully dealing with a child

Dover, New York – On March 15, 2017, New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks arrested 26-year-old Melissa L. Bootier of Wingdale, NY, for three counts of Unlawfully Dealing with a Child in the 1st Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Troopers were dispatched to a Berkshire Road residence for a drug complaint. An investigation indicated that Bootier smoked marihuana in her home while in the presence of three children under the age of 10. The responding Trooper ensured the children were in good health and the children were turned over to a family member.

Bootier was processed at SP Dover and issued an appearance ticket directing her to appear in the Town of Dover Court on March 23, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
