Kent, New York – On March 15, 2017, State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested 55-year-old Bonnie J. Garvey, of Carmel, New York, for Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree and Forgery 2nd Degree, both Class D Felonies.

On March 9, 2017, Troopers were contacted by a Queens’ man who reported that someone had withdrawn over $2,000 from his 401K account. The deduction, including taxes, totaled the removal of over $3,000 from his retirement fund.  An investigation revealed that a family member had applied for a hardship loan from the victim’s account and forged his name on the loan documentation.

Garvey is scheduled to appear in the Town of Southeast Court March 16, 2017 at 11:45 a.m.
