On March 13, 2017, the New York State Police and the City of Newburgh Police Department, joined by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, conducted multiple search warrants and made more than two dozen arrests this morning as a result of a nine month long narcotics investigation.

The investigation centered on the distribution of heroin, cocaine, PCP and marijuana in the City of Newburgh and several surrounding townships in Orange County, NY.

In June of 2016, the City of Newburgh Police Department and the New York State Police received information alleging drug sales in the City of Newburgh.

The investigation uncovered several cells of a large scale drug trafficking organization operating within Orange County, NY.

As a result of the investigation and execution of the search warrants, 30 individuals were arrested and face multiple narcotics related charges.

Today’s operation also included the US Drug Enforcement Administration, Town of New Windsor Police, the Town of Newburgh Police and the City of Port Jervis Police.

A press conference will be held on Thursday. The time and location will be posted on the online newsroom.
