Wappinger, New York – On March 8, 2017, New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Sean A. Dixon, 30 years old, of Yonkers, New York, for Grand Larceny 3rdDegree, a Class D Felony.

At approximately 4:25 p.m. on January 2, 2017, Troopers were dispatched to a possible robbery that occurred behind the Just-a-Buck, located at 1488 Route 9 in Wappinger.   The alleged victim reported that while bringing the store’s deposit to the bank, she was approached by a male subject who forcibly stole the deposit envelope containing an undisclosed amount of cash and her cell phone.  The suspect then fled the store in an unknown direction and mode of travel.

An investigation indicated that the alleged victim had fabricated the story to allow her boyfriend, Sean Dixon, to take the cash.  On January 2, 2017, State Police charged Erica Walker, age 22, of Fishkill, New York, with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony, Making a Punishable False Written Statement and Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rdDegree, Misdemeanors.  Walker was issued appearance tickets and released on her own recognizance at the direction of the Town of Wappinger Court.  She was directed to appear in Court on January 5, 2017.

The Town of Wappinger Court issued a warrant ordering Dixon’s arrest in January of 2017.  On February 26, 2017, the Town of Port Chester Police contacted the State Police and advised that Dixon had been arrested on unrelated charges and was lodged in the Westchester County Jail.

Dixon was turned over to the State Police on March 8, 2017 and arraigned in the Town of Wappinger Court where he was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
