State Police Haverstraw and FBI investigate a death in the Town of Haverstraw

PRESS RELEASE
The New York State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating a death that occurred on March 8, 2017 at approximately 8:20 a.m. on Rosman Road, at the intersection of Langschur Court, in the Town of Haverstraw.
A male subject was stopped by law enforcement personnel on Rosman Road. As officers approached the vehicle, the subject took his own life utilizing a firearm located in the vehicle.
Rosman Road is closed as forensic teams work on the scene.
State Police were assisted by the Rockland County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The identity of the subject is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
