Queens woman charged with endangering the welfare of a child

PRESS RELEASE

Cortlandt, New York – On March 3, 2017, New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks charged 23-year-old Erica A. Walker of Queens, New York, with Attempted Assault in the 2ndDegree, a Class D Felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On February 25, 2017 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Walker intentionally rammed a 10-year-old child with a shopping cart at the Walmart located at 3131 East Main Street, Cortlandt Manor.

Walker was arraigned before Town Justice Gerald Klein in the Town of Cortlandt Court.  The defendant was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or bond.  She is scheduled to return to the Town of Cortlandt Court on March 6, 2017.
