Columbia County resident charged with Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child

PRESS RELEASE

Philmont, New York – On February 22, 2017, The New York State Police from Livingston arrested 16-year-old Adam J. Layton, of Philmont, New York, for Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a Class E Felony.

Layton was arrested following an investigation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force.  The defendant was found to possess pornographic images depicting children.

Layton arraigned before Judge Brandon in the Town of Claverack Court and released on his own recognizance.

ICAC is a multiagency task force that combats the sexual exploitation of children via the internet.
