Jared R. Burnett, 34, of Clinton Corners and recently of Poughkeepsie passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017. He was born on September 12, 1982 in Rhinebeck to Lyle and Janet Pulver Burnett.
He was a 2001 graduate of Stissing Mountain High School. He went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Jared was an avid reader, enjoyed movies, music and current events.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army and served his country in the war in Afghanistan.
Jared is survived by his parents, Lyle and Janet, of Clinton Corners, sister, Kelly and her husband Bruce Knickerbocker and their two children Bree and Carter, of Hyde Park and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation for Jared will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 3 to 6 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 1605 Main St., Pleasant Valley, NY 12569.
