Town of Dover, NY Wins Laserfiche RunSmarter Award for Business Processes

Long Beach, CAFebruary 9, 2017Laserfiche announced today that four organizations have won Laserfiche Run Smarter® Awards for re-engineering business processes to increase efficiency across the enterprise.

“Whether through incremental adjustments or sweeping overhauls, successful changes to business processes require clear vision and strategy,” said Chris Wacker, CEO of Laserfiche. “These Run Smarter Award winners demonstrate drive in identifying, developing and implementing process improvements to enhance transparency, workflow and productivity in their organizations.”

  • TN Americas: As a leading provider of nuclear transport and used fuel solutions, TN Americas relies on having organized, accurate information and clear procedures in place. After replacing a legacy ECM system, TN Americas reduced the amount of document templates the organization used and clarified records, procedures and workflows to process information. The Laserfiche initiative resulted in standardization and simplification of records management, as well as enhanced data accuracy and document oversight.
  • Law Institute of Victoria: Based in Australia, the Law Institute of Victoria is the leading law society with more than 19,000 members. The organization used Laserfiche to consolidate business processes from eight separate business units—including professional development, marketing and legal policy—into one unified, semi-automated process. The cohesive process is more efficient, has a higher degree of transparency and enables consistent engagement and collaboration of the right people at the right time to make the right decisions. Since implementing the initiative, the Law Institute of Victoria has saved $250,000 in document processing costs.
  • State of North Carolina Division of Water Resources: Dedicated to ensuring clean, safe water statewide, the NC Division of Water Resources increased efficiency in many business processes using Laserfiche. The resulting time and resource savings have allowed employees to better focus on customer service, a top priority for the agency. The initiative included providing public access to permitting files online and implementing a comprehensive information management system to increase transparency, improve open records law compliance, save staff time, reduce the need for copiers and nearly entirely eliminate mailing costs associated with records requests.
  • Town of Dover, NY: New York’s Town of Dover replaced its paper-based records with Laserfiche records management that now extends to other municipalities in a shared services program. By re-engineering its records management processes and leading a larger group to share technology, the town leverages knowledge of partner municipalities and saves more than $50,000 per year in licensing and maintenance costs.

Each year, the Run Smarter Awards recognizes organizations that use Laserfiche enterprise content management (ECM) software to improve productivity, transform business processes and realize visionary initiatives. The Laserfiche Run Smarter Award winners were announced during the Laserfiche Empower 2017 Conference. In total, 31 organizations from around the world were honored during the event. The full list of winners is available at the Empower 2017 Conference website.
