Pawling man sideswiped in two-car crash on Interstate 684

PRESS RELEASE
North Castle, New York – On February 6, 2017 at approximately 10:11 a.m., New York State Police from the Somers barracks responded to a two-car motor vehicle collision that occurred on Interstate 684 southbound in the area of mile post marker 10.1.The investigation indicated that Joseph F. Gibbons, 55 years old, of Pawling, New York, was traveling southbound when he was sideswiped by 27-year-old David Martinez of New York, NY. Gibbons’ vehicle exited the roadway and overturned.  Martinez’s vehicle continued into the median where it came to rest after striking a tree.

Gibbons, Martinez, and a 5-year-old passenger traveling in Martinez’s vehicle were transported by Armonk Volunteer Fire Department to Westchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
