State Police Investigate Social Media Threat at Tri-Valley Schools

On January 23, 2017 State Police at Liberty were made aware of a threat posted on social media that appeared to target the Tri-Valley Central School District located in Grahamsville, NY.  With the assistance of school officials and specialized State Police units that monitor social media, investigators were able to link the Twitter post to a sixteen year old Tri-Valley student.  At the conclusion of the investigation, this subject was charged with Making a Terroristic Threat, a felony under the NYS Penal Law.  This subject was arraigned in the Town of Neversink Court and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $1500 cash bail.
