Fishkill, New York – On January 24, 2017 at approximately 6:30 a.m., the New York State Police responded to a reported tractor trailer rollover collision that occurred on Interstate 84 between Exit 11 (State Route 9D) and Exit 12 (State Route 52).

A preliminary investigation indicates that the tractor trailing was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 when it exited the north shoulder of the roadway and overturned.  The driver of the truck was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital with minor injuries and released.

Subsequent to the vehicle overturning, diesel fuel spilled at the crash site. NYS DEC Spill Response was notified and responded to the scene.

I-84 westbound, just east of the Red School House Road overpass, has been closed for several hours as crews up-right the vehicle.  It is anticipated that one lane will open up shortly.  Crews will remain on scene to clean up cases of bottled water that spilled from the cargo area.

Information on this crash will be posted to nyspnews.com as it becomes available.
