Hyde Park man charged with violating court order of protection

Rhinebeck, New York – On December 27, 2016, New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested 21-year-old Joseph R. Pasqualina, of Hyde Park, New York, for Criminal Contempt 2nd Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and violation of Parole.On December 26, 2016, Troopers were dispatched to a Rhinebeck home for a reported order of protection violation.  An investigation indicated that Pasqualina repeatedly sent text messages to the protected party thereby violating the no-contact provision of the order.

The New York State Department of Parole and Community Supervision was contacted when Troopers learned that Pasqualina was released under the supervision of Parole on December 15, 2016 for a Robbery 3rd conviction. This arrest violated the terms of his parole.

Pasqualina was arraigned in the Town of Rhinebeck Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.  He is due to appear in Rhinebeck Court on December 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.

State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Parole and Community Supervision.
