500 bags of heroin, 85 bags of crack cocaine found as police arrest two Amenia women
AMENIA, Two Amenia women, Shannon Kett, 26, and Nyteona Brown, 23 were arrested on Monday with a large amount of heroin, crack cocaine and handguns by agents of the Dutchess County Drug Task Force after a warrant was executed .
The warrant had been the result of an investigation into narcotics sales that were taking place at a home at 4930 Route 22 in Amenia.
500 bags of heroin, 85 bags of crack cocaine, a quantity of marijuana, scales, packaging materials were found.
Kett was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts criminal possession of a .45 caliber and a .380 caliber handgun.
Brown was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Kett and Brown were arraigned in Town of Amenia Court and are being held at the Dutchess County Jail.
Nyteona Brown is also being held as a fugitive from justice on a warrant from Georgia for felony forgery charges.
