Freedom Plains, NY – Wallace E. McCauley, 83, a resident of Freedom Plains, and formerly of Pine Plains, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at The Pines at Poughkeepsie Center for Nursing.
He was born on June 6, 1933 in Pine Plains, NY the son of the late Nelson and MaryEllen (MacKenzie) McCauley.
Wallace was a fabricator for De Laval in Poughkeepsie, NY.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being with family and his dogs. He also loved spending time at Saranac Lake and on the St. Lawrence River.
On July 19, 1959 in Poughkeepsie, NY he married Di Ann (Pratt) McCauley. She predeceased him on August 28, 2008.
Survivors include a sister, Martha Imperato, two brothers, Harris and Earl, a sister-in-law, Doris and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday, December 21, st from 11 to 12 Noon at 7749 South Main St., Pine Plains, NY
Funeral services are 12 Noon on Wednesday, December 21st at the funeral home with Pastor Carol Miller, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
