Catskill man arrested for possessing over two pounds of Marijuana and a quantity of prescription pills.

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police at Ellenville announce the arrest of Michael P. Campbell, age 55, of Catskill, NY for Criminal Possession Marijuana in the Second Degree, a Felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Misdemeanor.
State Police at Ellenville conducted a traffic stop of vehicle speeding on State Route 52 in the Town of Wawarsing.  Subsequent to the stop, and upon interviewing the operator Michael Campbell, Troopers detected an odor of Marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  The vehicle was searched and over two pounds of Marijuana and several prescription medications were recovered.
Campbell was arraigned in the Town of Wawarsing Court before Town Justice Charles Dechon and remanded to the Ulster County Jail, in lieu of a $2,000.00 cash bail pending a future court appearance.
