Like many people throughout Dutchess County, I will spend this Thanksgiving with those who mean the most to me: my wife, our children and our family. We will give thanks for all we have here in Dutchess County and for the amazing county residents we’re fortunate to call neighbors.
I hope you enjoy a joyous holiday, surrounded by loved ones, and you will make memories long cherished. Let us never forget, though, those not as fortunate, those for whom this holiday may be difficult. May we share our good fortune with them and make Dutchess County truly a special place for every resident of every circumstance and ability.
Just as on that first Thanksgiving almost 400 year ago, may our hearts be filled with appreciation for all the blessings we’ve received, and let us extend to one another that same gratitude – not just on this holiday, but every day moving forward.
