Pet of The Week: Dylan

Dylan was a very scared young male stray kitty when he came to the Putnam Humane Society during one of our yearly low cost spay/neuter clinics for cat.  When he tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), we knew we had to take him into the shelter and work to make him adoptable.  We have some awesome volunteers at PHS. They have been working hard for quite a while now to get through to Dylan, and it finally happened.  He loves to be petted by his favorite volunteer and will reach out to hold her hand near so she doesn’t stop. Dylan is a shy boy and it will take time for him to feel comfortable with you. We just know there is a homebody inside this handsome and healthy boy. He needs to find that special someone to give him a chance.  You can meet Dylan from 10-4:15 daily.  Dog lovers can visit with the dogs from 10-3 daily.  The shelter is located at 68 Old Route 6 in Carmel, NY.  (845) 225-7777.  Santa will be at the Brewster Feed Barn on Saturday, November 26th from 11-4 for PET PICTURES WITH SANTA to benefit the dogs & kitties of PHS.  No appointment necessary.  Santa loves taking pictures with kids and adults too!  Check our website to see more adorable adoptables and upcoming events.  www.puthumane.org
