Ian Troge of Stormville earns Academic Distinction Scholarship

Alfred, NY, November 2016 – A Dutchess County resident has been awarded a $2,000 “Academic Distinction Scholarship” to attend Alfred State.

Ian Troge of Stormville is slated to graduate in 2017 from Carmel High School and intends to enroll in the automotive service technician (AOS) program.

The “Academic Distinction Scholarship” is awarded to first-time freshmen students who possess an 87 or better cumulative high school average through the end of their junior year and who have achieved an 1140 combined reading/writing and math new SAT (1070 combined critical reading and math old SAT) or 23 composite ACT score.

Fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Alfred State offers some 49 associate degree programs, 23 baccalaureate degree programs, and two certificate programs.
