State Police in Somers charge two men with methamphetamine possession

Yorktown, New York – On October 21, 2016, New York State Police from the Somers barrack charged 25-year-old Mergim Haljuci of Putnam Valley, and Steven A. Guzman, 27 years old, of Buchanan, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7^thDegree, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers stopped a Toyota Corolla on State Route 6 after they observed the vehicle cross over hazard markings.  A subsequent investigation revealed that the occupants of the vehicle, Guzman and Haljuci, possessed methamphetamine.  Guzman was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, a Violation.

Both defendants were issued appearance tickets directing them to appear in the Town of Yorktown Court on November 10, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.
