Edwin E. Wood, a 13 year resident of Pawling, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Putnam Hospital Center, Carmel, NY, at the age of 84.
He was born in Narrowsburg, NY on June 24, 1932 to Edwin and Mammie (Dailey) Wood, and served in Korea in the US Marine Corps.
He married Lisa A. Arceri in Tarrytown, NY on November 30, 1997; she survives at home.
Before retiring, Ed was a director at IBM in Armonk, NY.
Ed attended St. John’s Church and enjoyed jogging, playing golf, the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his family and friends and his pets Holly, Tiffy, Joey, and Max.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Celine Wood of Pawling; four sons, Rob of East Fishkill, NY, Ed of Pine Island, NY, James of Ohio, and Scott Wood of Unionvale, NY; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his brother Clair Wood.
Family and friends may call at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling Friday, October 14th 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, at 10 AM at St. John’s Church, Pawling. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
