Ohio man arrested in Cornwall for attempting to produce Methamphetamine.

PRESS RELEASE

     The New York State Police announce the arrest of Justin A Cantrell, age 42, of West Portsmouth, Ohio. Mr. Cantrell was charged with Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, a class “D” Felony, Criminal Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Material in the 2nd degree, a class “A” Misdemeanor, and 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a class “A” Misdemeanor.

    New York State Police in Montgomery in conjunction with the Town of Cornwall Police Department, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Police CCSERT Team, and Hudson Valley CNET responded to a report of a suspicious odor in room 12 at the Cadet Motel located on 2582 State Route Cornwall, NY. Investigation revealed that Mr. Cantrell was in possession of chemical reagents and equipment for the purpose of producing methamphetamine.

Mr. Cantrell was arraigned by Cornwall Town Justice Navarra and remanded to the Orange County jail on $50,000 cash and $100,000 bond.
