BEDFORD – A  man who’s last know address was Pawling and was the suspect in several Westchester burglaries was found with stolen items and heroin when he was arrested on Thursday.

Justin Williams, 26, who’s last known address was in Holmes NY was taken into custody in Bedford Hills, where he was found with seven bags of heroin, Bedford police said.

Williams faces charges for breaking into a home on Elm Road in Katonah on Aug. 11, police said.

Williams broke into the house during the day and took some items before the homeowner startled him and he fled, Detective Sgt. Vincent Gruppuso said.

Williams is also a suspect in several other burglaries in northern Westchester. Police are not saying what was taken, or how much the stolen items are worth, because the investigation is ongoing, he said.
Williams was charged with felony counts of second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny, as well as misdemeanor counts of third-degree criminal mischief and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Williams is being held without bail at the Westchester County jail. He is scheduled to appear in Bedford Town Court on Oct. 5.
