Pine Plains – Morris Jarvis Jr., 80, passed away at home September 22, 2016 with his loving wife of 30 years by his side in Pine Plains, NY.

Jarvis was born May 8, 1936 to Gertrude and Maurice Sr. in Chateaugay, NY along with 9 brothers and 5 sisters.

Morris, a retired U.S. Marine Corps veteran, served in the Korean War and worked as a Civil Service Employee at Wassaic for over 30 years.

After retirement Jarvis acquired a great love for the game of Bingo which he often frequented with friends and family. He will forever be remembered for his sharp-witted humor and unique jokes.

He is survived by his wife, brothers and sisters, two sons, three step-daughters, a step-son, several nieces nephews and grandchildren and was predeceased by his son; two step sons and a step daughter. A memorial will be announced at a later date at the family’s convenience.
