State Police arrest Cairo man for drug sales

On September 20, 2016, the New York State Police at Catskill arrested Michael J. Cleary, age 60, of Cairo, NY, for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, a Class B Felony.
The arrest is the result of a three month investigation into the sale of heroin in the Greene County area by the New York State Police and the Greene County District Attorney’s Office. The State Police was assisted throughout this investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Catskill Police Dept. and the investigation is ongoing.
Cleary was arraigned on the charge by the Town of Catskill Justice William Wooten and the subject was remanded to the Greene County Jail in lieu of $100,000.00 cash or a $200,000.00 bond. Cleary was ordered to appear in the Town of Catskill Court at a later date.
