Sheriff’s Office Investigates Car/Pedestrian Crash in Hyde Park

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation into a car-pedestrian crash which occurred on Route 9 in the Town of Hyde Park at approximately 11 pm on 9/22/16.
On the above date and time Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Route 9 near the Culinary Institute of America for a report of a crash, and upon arrival it was discovered to be a car/pedestrian crash with potentially serious injuries.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Anthony Jennings, age 22, was walking along Route 9 when he was struck by a vehicle. Mr. Jennings was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital for treatment, and at this time no charges have been filed.
The investigation into the cause(s) is continuing by members of the Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Unit, and more information may be released as it becomes available.
