White Plains man charged with Rape following multi-agency investigation

Hawthorne, New York – On September 17, 2016, the New York State Police in Hawthorne arrested Benjamin A. Gomez, 24 years old, of White Plains, New York, for Rape in the 1stDegree, a class B felony.
Following a complaint received by the White Plains Police Department Saturday morning on September 17, 2016, a joint investigation with the Elmsford Police Department and the New York State Police resulted in the arrest of Gomez for having sexual intercourse with a female acquaintance who was unconscious and unable to consent.
Gomez was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court on September 19, 2016 at 9am.
