Kinderhook Troopers arrest driver for DWI

Kinderhook, New York – On September 3, 2016, New York State Police from the Kinderhook Barracks arrested ROBERT J. HAMMELL, age 29, of Nassau for Driving While Intoxicated.

Troopers stopped the vehicle HAMMELL was operating on State Farm Road in the Town of Kinderhook for speeding and for swerving off the roadway of the right shoulder onto the dirt.  HAMMELL was found to be intoxicated at the time of the stop.  HAMMELL stated he had been drinking and was leaving a friend’s house en route to another residence.

HAMMELL provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .10% BAC and a was processed at the Barracks and issued tickets returnable to the Town of Kinderhook Court at a later date.
