Summer Science Research Program participants have the opportunity to conduct genuine hands-on scientific research in labs or in the field. They perform this research with their scientist mentors drawn from a wide array of global professional research institutions. In addition, many of the students take the science research courses for UAlbany college credit in their junior and senior years of high school. The Summer Science Research Program is an integral part of the University in the High School Program which was established in 1983 and offers more than 100 courses in over 30 subject areas.
