Newburgh woman arrested for entering Downstate Correctional Facility with drugs

PRESS RELEASE

Fishkill, New York – On September 10, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Cynthia A. Eagle, age 46, of Newburgh, New York, for Promoting Prison Contraband in the Second Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, both Class A Misdemeanors.

Eagle unlawfully entered the Downstate Correctional Facility to visit an inmate while she was in possession of prescription pills. The New York State Police were assisted by the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.

Eagle was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Fishkill Court on September 20, 2016, at 9:00 AM.
