Marlboro Man Charged with Drug Possession

The New York State Police announce the arrest of Michael J Ferlita, age 30, of Marlboro, New York. Mr. Ferlita was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5^th Degree, a class “D” Felony. Mr. Ferlita was additionally charged with Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations.

On 09/06/2016 at approximately 3:45a.m. Troopers observed a 1999 Dodge driviving over the speed limit on State Route 9w in the Town of Newburgh.  Subsequent investigation revealed a quantity of Crack/Cocaine, which led to the aforementioned charges being filed with the Town of Newburgh Court.

Mr. Ferlita was arraigned by Newburgh Town Justice Clarino and remanded to the Orange County jail on $2,500 cash and $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Newburgh Court on 09/12/16 at 4:00 pm.
