KINGSTON- Donald E. Lattrell, Sr., 65, of South Wall Street, Kingston, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. Born Oct. 25, 1950 in Addison, Vt., he is the son of Arnold Lattrell of Salisbury, Conn. and the late Dolores (Provencher) Lattrell. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Donald served in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Sergeant, E-5. He currently was employed as a diesel mechanic for Baker Brothers. Previously, he was the owner of D.E.L. Automotive, worked for Millens, Feeney Enterprises and Eagle Diesel. Donald was an avid hunter, a great dancer and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Surviving is his wife, Barbara Lattrell of Kingston; his daughters, Donna M. Haines and her husband Ronald, of Kingston, Angela M. Lattrell and her husband Chipman Verspyck of Saugerties; his brothers and sisters, Louis Lattrell and his wife Cindy of Perry, Ga., Frederick Lattrell and his wife Tia of Amenia, N.Y., Joan MacDonald of Cleveland, Tenn., William Lattrell and his wife Karrie of Amenia, N.Y., Gary Lattrell and his wife Ellen of Pawling, N.Y., John Lattrell of Massena, N.Y., Jeanne Meyer of Millbrook, N.Y., Janette Lattrell of Vergennes, Vt. James Latrell and his wife Barbara of Sharon, Conn.; his grandchildren, Corinna Lattrell, Maxwell Verspyck, Devin Haines and Wyatt Verspyck; and great-grandchildren, Sophia and Aaron Gorman. Also surviving are Helen Halstein, Cindy Frisbee, Sharon Whispell and Dawn Wade who, in his heart were daughters to him. In addition to his mother, his sons, Mark Lattrell and Donald E. Lattrell, Jr. ,also died previously.

Friends will be received at the funeral home at 27 Smith Avenue Kingston on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
