Poughkeepsie, NY man arrested for DWI with a BAC more than 2 times the legal limit

PRESS RELEASE
Woodbury, NY – On August 28, 2016, at approximately 10:45 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for a speeding violation. The driver, Michael T. Purdy, 52, of Poughkeepsie, NY, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana. He was transported and processed at SP Newburgh, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.21%. He was subsequently charged with:
- Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor
- Unlawful Possession of Marijuana; a Violation
- Speeding Violation
Purdy was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Woodbury Court on September 7, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.
