NYSP Hawthorne – Disabled Vehicle on the Sprain Brook Parkway Results in 3 Arrests for Driving While Intoxicated – Town of Greenburgh – Westchester County

On Saturday, August 28, 2016 at approximately 2:53AM, NYSP Hawthorne Members were advised by a passing motorist of a disabled vehicle northbound on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Town of Greenburgh at MPM 9.4.? Upon arrival it was determined that the operator, Mr. LUCIO MANUEL MEDINA-LOZANO of Elmsford, NY, made a right turn off of the roadway in an attempt to make a U-turn and his vehicle became disabled on a dirt-covered area of the shoulder. Mr. MEDINA-LOZANO then called his wife, Mrs. Patricia F. Tenezaca, also of Elmsford, NY, to assist him. Mrs. Tenezaca arrived at the scene with their 2-year-old-daughter in her vehicle to assist and was also intoxicated. Mrs. Tenezaca’s vehicle also became disabled on the dirt-covered area of the northbound shoulder. Mr. MEDINA-LOZANO then called a friend, Mr. FERNANDO FRANCISCO GUAILLAS-GONZALES to further assist him. Mr. GUAILLAS-GONZALES also arrived at the scene while intoxicated. After assisting the motorists and completing their investigation, the Troopers determined all three operators were intoxicated and were all subsequently arrested. All of the subjects were taken to SP Hawthorne and processed. The 2-year-old daughter was released to Mrs. TENEZACA’s sister.

Mr. MEDINA-LOZANO provided a breath sample of 0.13% and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was issued traffic tickets and released and is due back in The Town of Greenburgh Court on September 13, 2016 at 9:30am.

Mr. GUAILLAS-GONZALES provided a breath sample of 0.08% and was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. He was issued traffic tickets and released and is due back in The Town of Greenburgh Court on September 13, 2016 at 9:30am.

Mrs. TENEZACA provided a breath sample of 0.18% and was charged with Felony Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) and Endangering the Welfare of a Child and was arraigned in the Town of Greenburgh Court. She was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $7,500cash / $10,000 bond bail. An Order of Protection was issued and CPS was notified of the incident.
