Millerton man to be charged in Bridgewater home invasion

BRIDGEWATER CT – Connecticut State police say Dustin Holst-Grubbe of Millerton, N.Y., will be charged in connection with last week’s violent home invasion in Bridgewater CT.

Dustin Holst-Grubbe 20, of 22 Belke Road Millerton,  turned himself into the Duchess County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday in connection to multiple crimes throughout the area.

Grubbe will be charged with home invasion, assault of an elderly person, assault with a deadly weapon, stealing a firearm, 1st degree burglary, 3rd degree burglary, 2nd degree larceny, 3rd degree larceny and credit car theft, police said. Bond will be set at $1 million.

Victor P. Compe, 64, was shot in the upper body with a shotgun early Thursday morning at his home at 606 S. Main St. in Bridgewater. Police  have determined that a trail of stolen vehicles, including a BMW from Middletown, N.Y., a Subaru Forester from Millerton, N.Y. and a Ford van from Bridgewater were involved in the incident.

The Subaru was found in Compe’s driveway and the other two vehicles were found in Waterbury.
