ECHO COTTAGES LTD CELEBRATES FIRST DELIVERY OF “TINY HOME”
First of Many ECHO Cottages’ Deliveries in Hudson Valley and Beyond
Hopewell Junction, NY (June 29, 2016) – Senior citizens in the Hudson Valley now have an alternative to nursing homes and assisted living facilities! ECHO Cottages LTD of Hopewell Junction just delivered their first small modular home on June 8th and currently has several other projects underway. ECHO Cottages’ mission is to build quality stick-built homes for senior citizens that can be delivered and discretely placed on their family’s property, so they can be right near their loved ones for the care and security they need during their golden years.
“Most seniors have lived in their homes for decades, and when the time comes that living on their own is no longer an option, we want to make the transition and downsizing process as comfortable as possible,” states ECHO Cottages’ owner, Bob Novak.
David and Michele Haab, in the town of Northeast, NY, wanted to purchase a tiny home for David’s elderly handicapped brother, Chris, so they contacted ECHO Cottages. They excitedly watched as their modular home was delivered to their property where Chris now lives. “ECHO Cottages really worked with us to make this inviting home just perfect for Chris. They went the extra mile and produced a quality stick-built home that is handicapped accessible to fit all of Chris’ particular needs and then some, with great interior detail, extra wide doorways, and a handicapped

The idea for ECHO Cottages Ltd began as a family venture in 2011 after Bob Novak’s father, Bill, needed extended physical therapy after a hospital stay. Not wanting to be admitted to a nursing home or assisted living facility because of a fear that once he entered the system, he would never leave there, Bill rehabbed at home with private duty nurses. While he was rehabbing, he realized there was a vital necessity to provide senior citizens an alternative that would allow seniors to be near their families, while still maintaining their own privacy and independence. Bob Novak has been successful in taking his father’s vision, and together, building ECHO Cottages from the ground up. Bob’s passion is to build modular homes that are cozy and inviting, while being functional and fully equipped with modern amenities. “No longer do you have to worry about your parents falling or becoming victims of crime, as you can easily keep a watchful eye on them throughout the day,” states Bob.
