State Police in Wappinger arrest North Carolina man following report of sexual abuse

Wappinger, New York – On July 27, 2016, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Wappinger barracks arrested Joseph J. Cacciatore, age 61, of Cary, North Carolina, for two counts of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the Second Degree, a Class D Felony.

An investigation indicated that Joseph Cacciatore engaged in multiple acts of sexual conduct against two victims under the age of thirteen between 1997 and 2005.

The New York State Police were assisted by the Cary Police Department, located in North Carolina.

Joseph Cacciatore was arraigned at the Town of Wappinger Court. He was remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond. His next appearance was scheduled for August 2, 2016, at 7:00 PM.
