Troopers stopped the vehicle Fuerst was operating on State Farm Road in the Town of Kinderhook when Fuerst crossed over several times into the oncoming lane.  Fuerst was found to be intoxicated at the time of the stop.  Fuerst stated he had been drinking at a friend’s house and a local Pub.  Fuerst failed all SFST’s and when being placed under arrest for DWI, Fuerst attempted to run on the Troopers.

Fuerst was apprehended and transported to SP Kinderhook where he provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .16%.  Double the legal limit.  Because Fuerst had been previously charged with DWI, he was arraigned in the Town of Kinderhook Court where he was released on his own recognizance to reappear at a later date.
